Donlands Dairy Ltd. Milk Token
Small, bronze coloured milk token from Donlands Dairy Ltd.
How is this object or story important to you?

At the time the milk token would be placed in the mouth of empty milk bottles. The bottles were then left for collection on the door step or specially designed cupboards. The front says 'Good for 1 Quart Milk.' The reverse says 'Good for value at which this token sold.' Memento of the past and how times have changed. Services which no longer exisit, era that is gone. How jobs have changed and our expectations - full service gas stations, milk delivery, are things of the past.
