How is this object or story important to you?

The passport is a symbol of the end of one life and the beginning of another - I kept this passport because it signifies the end of a 'life', or my life in Portugal and the start of my life in Canada.

What does it add to the story of Toronto?

Toronto is a city built on immigrants so it represents the heartship of the location and an excitement for new life. Immigration is a huge source of the diversity we have in Toronto and the city builds itself on that staple.

How did you acquire it?

Originally from Portugal and it was needed it to travel.
