Basketball
This is an old basketball that I was practically born with. Many street games among the local children used this basketball. I played for hours and hours during the day. I constantly competed with my best friend.
How is this object or story important to you?
This basketball represents my childhood while playing outside with friends until late in the night. I have fond memories of interactions with my childhood community.
What does it add to the story of Toronto?
Sport brings people together because it forces them to work together toward a common goal. People who work in a team understand that you win and lose together.
How did you acquire it?
It was originally owned by my father.
